A parked domain name is one which is taken, but it's not connected to any other service - web or e-mail hosting. Basically, this kind of domain address will not load any real content if you type it within an Internet browser, but nobody else can take it as you've already registered it and you are its owner. The benefit of acquiring a domain and parking it afterwards is that you’ll be able to keep it and not stress that somebody else could possibly register it in the meantime if, for example, the site for it is not ready yet. You could set a temporary Under Construction website page for a parked Internet domain while you're working on the website, or forward it to another web address - temporarily or permanently. The latter option can be employed if you have already registered domain.com, for instance, and you acquire domain.net and domain.org, so that you can protect a brand name or a trademark. In such a case, the .net and .org domains can be parked and forwarded to the .com since you don't need different websites for them.

Parked Domains in Cloud Hosting

If you have a cloud hosting with us, you're going to be able to park each of your domains easily. The feature is available for the domain names registered through our company, but not for the ones that are only hosted here and directed from some other company, since a domain address can be parked only through its registrar. Our Domain Manager instrument will allow you to pick from a number of templates and you will be able to include custom text to any of them. Redirecting a domain address to a new URL is as easy as only typing the Internet address and saving it. If you want to host any of your parked domain names, it takes simply a mouse click to do it and our system will do the rest - changing the name servers, creating a domain folder in your account, creating the required DNS records, etc. For simpler management, you're going to be able to filter the domains registered inside the account by their status - parked or hosted.
